SEBASTIAN WAWEREK

Born in Poland in 1981, living now in Ibiza, Spain. He started so young with the Martial Arts: Karate and Aikido. When he was 24, he started with Tai Chi as one of his other main practices and is in 2008 when he discovered Contemporary Dance and Contact Improvisation, never stopping the exploration and ongoing training as a teacher in places like Poland, Israel, Germany, Argentina and Spain. From 2011 he is sharing in regular classes and in festivals his work. He is also an Osteopath and Bodyworker, that helped him on the process of embodying and inhabiting movement, creating his own way of treating and moving patients or students. Fruit of his fine way of listening, running and investigating how to live in the body.

The Water that guides our dance

Meeting all your flashes, your muscles, bones, and all that always is in between everything, we are gonna activate "the hidden places", that we can not see but feel, to explore new possibilities allowing the high presence of our liquids to guide our dance, ourselves.

To fill our whole body in its aquatic volume, and enjoy all the directions that open in our surroundings without planes.

The inner rhythm, the inner water is a place and a state, finding the opposites in it, the Yin and the Yang in our way of sharing, the outside and inside spirals, waves, splashes pouring and lifting our presence with the world.
