ARNAU MILLÀ
The relationship between dancers and musicians and the different ways of interacting, how do we influence each other. The power of the melody and harmony and how to use them embody them. How to create silence and memory, individual though, collective mind and the beauty of the noise. Organic dance and music pulsation and tempo: body and movement with the memory and the listen. Sharing same physical and sonor space.
Musician, artist and teacher.
Arnau has studied music in Spanish conservatories and he has extended his studies by specializing in contemporary music in “ArtEZ University” in Holland and further studies on electronic composition in “IDEC” (Pompeu Fabra University).
As a creator he develops musical projects that link with other artistic languages with a social commitment. Always in search of finding connections between the “self” and the “enviroment”. He’s member of 4now Quartet, Stalzim Trio, El Col·lectiu Arrels i Memòria and Mou-lo Projectes, Col·lectiu Free’t, among others.
He is an artistic programmer of different festivals and events, teacher in the Conservatory Professional de Música de Lleida, he is the piccolo player of the OJC Symphonic Orchestra, and gives workshops about improvisation using creative languages assoundpainting (multidisciplinary live composing sign language) orcontact improvisation (technique in which points of physical contact provide the starting point for exploration through movement improvisation).
